Industrial Engineering is a discipline solving problems by developing systems, models and methods, to analyze, organize, implement, control and improve the systems for manufacturing and service sectors. The main purpose is to increase the performance of organizations.
ITU Department of Industrial Engineering located in Macka, has implemented ITU Non- thesis Engineering Management Master’s Program since the 2000-2001 academic year. %50 of the courses are in English and %50 are Turkish. Engineering Management Program was initiated first by ITU Department of Industrial Engineering in Turkey.
Courses are being carried out on four weekdays between 19:00-22:40 and at weekends. Program consists of 12 courses-36 credits and a semester project to be completed within three consecutive semesters. Each semester is 11 weeks and the last week of each semester is assigned for final exams. Students are responsible for four courses and a semester project.
Every student is supposed to make an Engineering Management Project on a subject authorized by his/her advisor and compatible with the objectives and scope defined by the program. Engineering Management Project is graded as successful or unsuccessful by the advisor and two more faculty members and it has no credit. In case of being unsuccessful, students have the right to use additional 1 term.

Industrial Engineering MSc Program:
Industrial Engineering Master’s Program intends to extend the knowledge and the abilities of the students in Industrial Engineering scopes such as in production, logistics, ergonomics, operations research and decision making.
Graduates from Industrial Engineering Master’s Program, work in departments of manufacturing, production planning, logistics and supply chain, quality systems and quality assurance. Graduates, who work in manufacturing and service sectors, extend their experiences to the top- level managerial positions.

Engineering Management MSc Program:
Engineering Management Master’s Program aims for the attendee to gain knowledge and skills to manage organizations. It focuses on usage of engineering knowledge on management, quality management and technology management systems’ design and implementation of systematic perspective in organizations.
Graduates of this program, work as administrators in every kind of industry and organization. They have business experience especially in the departments which are related with managerial systems such as human resources, strategic planning, methods and organization, and in the departments of quality management systems and technology management.
