Industrial Engineering Undergraduate Program

Four-year-long Industrial Engineering Undergraduate program is offered in our department. Alumni are given “Industrial Engineer” title. Education is conducted in fall and spring semesters. Summer education is available for some courses. In order to graduate from the program 2.00 GPA over 4.00 and completion of 3 summer internships in machine tools workshop, manufacturing and management subjects are required.

Educational Objectives of Industrial Engineering Undergraduate Program:
• EO1. To search, understand and formulate the requirements of organizations
• EO2. To improve organizational performance by knowledge based on science
• EO3. To be able to adapt with flexibility to the positions where different skills and capabilities required
• EO4. To focus on the effective design, application and continuous improvement of industrial systems

Program Outcomes of Industrial Engineering Undergraduate Program:
• Oc1. An ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, science and engineering
• Oc2. An ability to design and conduct experiments, as well as to analyze and interpret data
• Oc3. An ability to design a system, component, or process to meet desired needs within realistic constraints such as economic, environmental, social, political, ethical, health and safety, manufacturability, and sustainability
• Oc4. An ability to function on multi-disciplinary teams
• Oc5. An ability to identify, formulate, and solve engineering problems
• Oc6. An understanding of professional and ethical responsibility
• Oc7. An ability to communicate effectively
• Oc8. The broad education necessary to understand the impact of engineering solutions in a global, economic, environmental, and societal context
